Yesteryear diva Sridevi will be the chief guest for a movie launch after 10 years. She will be the chief guest in film launch of Ramgopal Varma’s latest Telugu offering ‘Appal Raju’.

Sridevi after marrying Bollywood producer Boney Kapoor settled in Mumbai thereby leaving the limelight in AP. She hasn’t been part of any film event down south in the past 10 years. RGV, an avid fan of Sridevi has managed to convince her to come and inaugurate his first Telugu movie in 12 years.

‘Katha Screenplay Darsakathvam: Appal Raju’ starring comedian turned hero Sunil along with two heroines- Colours Swathy and another Mumbai based actress, will be RGV’s comeback vehicle in Telugu. The film’s launch will take place on August 27th in Hyderabad.

‘Appal Raju’ is produced by Koneru Kiran Kumar for Shreya Productions, who has produced ‘Homam’ and ‘Siddham’ earlier. The movie’s executive producer is Suman Varma.
